Who can get a card
The Quemado Public Library offers residents of Maverick County a free library card.
How to Get Your Card
Adults 18 and over must present a current photo ID such as a driver's license, student ID before a card is issued. A parent/guardian who must present proper identification must sign application form must accompany minors under age of 18. The parent/guardian assumes responsibility for all materials borrowed by the minor.
Loan Periods
Books and audio books may be checked out for 21 days.
Magazines, music CD's, movies on DVD's and VHS formats may be checked out for a two-day period.
Renewing Your Borrowed Items
The Quemado Library will renew materials for an additional loan period, if the following conditions are met. There is no hold or reserve on the title. If there are any fines on the title, they must be cleared before the item is renewed. Renewals can be done in person, by phone or online catalog. Some restrictions apply.
Library Fines
Movies on DVD's and videocassettes, overdue fee per item is $1.00 per day after the due date. Maximum charge per item is $5.00.
Books, audio books, and magazine fines after the due date is .10 cents per day per item. Maximum fine is $15.00 per item.
